We offer several free and independent excursions. The main and most popular one is in the volcanic area towards Santa Pau. Before arriving, you'll find a parking area where the triangular route begins, visiting the two most important volcanoes in Olot: Santa Margarita and Croscat. Following the marked trail, you'll reach the well-known Fageda d'en Jordà beech forest and then return to the starting point at the parking area. Afterwards, you can take a car and visit the medieval village of Santa Pau, and finally, you could continue to Banyoles, a spectacular lake surrounded by nature.

Secondly, we suggest Besalu, a medieval town that is very beautiful both during the day and at sunset, to see its Roman bridge and stylishly illuminated streets, and we can also visit its Jewish baths.

And thirdly, and more focused on people who like trekking, the area of ​​Alta Garrotxa Sadernas is a valley where you can do canyoning, hiking, climbing or trekking in the heart of nature. It should be noted that in its valley there are several waterfalls such as the Salt del Brull, or the spectacular Salt de la Nuvia, just 4 kilometers from the hostel.
